| General Product Description |
- Hardware PCI - Wide/Ultra2 SCSI RAID Controllers for RAID 0 and RAID 1, or RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 4, RAID 5 and RAID 10 Disk Arrays at controller level, completely independent of the computer and the operating system. Several disk arrays can be operated simultaneously.
- Multi-Processor RISC technology with an Intel i960® RD I/O processor with 66 MHz. Completely offloads the Host CPU.
- 1, 2, 3 or 5 Wide/Ultra2 SCSI channels with termination. Either Single Ended (SE) or LVDS (Low Voltage Differential Signalling) operation. Data transfer rate up to 80 MB/sec (LVDS) per channel. Cable length up to 12 meters (LVDS) per channel.
- Maximum configuration flexibility through one full-featured Narrow/Ultra SCSI channel for legacy SCSI devices. Data transfer rate up to 20 MB/sec.
- Clustering support (optional with GDT65x8RD). Support of Microsoft® Cluster Server.
- Drivers for MS-DOS*, Novell* NetWare*, SCO* Unix* V/386, Interactive Unix*, UnixWare*, Linux*, Windows* 2000/9x/NT, OS/2*, FreeBSD* (32bit)
- Online Capacity Expansion and RAID Level Migration.
- Cache RAM: 4 MB to 128 MB. One 72 pin, 32 Bit or 36 Bit PS/2 FPM/EDO SIMM. Intelligent multi-level cache-algorithm with adaptive delayed write and read ahead functions.
- 132 MB/sec PCI Bus Master transfer rate. PCI 2.1 compatible.Scatter, Gather, Command Queuing. SCSI-2/-3 Protocol.
- Hot Plug, Auto Hot Plug and SAF-TE.
- "Private" (for one disk array) or "Pool" (for several disk arrays) Hot Fix drives.
